Hello everyone,

I want to give all of you a bit of an overview of the path that Aladin and myself have travelled with Gaimz since we first talked about the company in February, 2020.

During our first talk, we clearly shared a mutual love for esports and streaming. We wanted to create a platform that was able to give a better experience for Content Creators and their fans. We were dreaming about a website and mobile app that were intertwined on a lot of different levels. It would need to allow for easy matchmaking for amateur competitions, we wanted to cleanly integrate with streaming platforms to add matchmaking between fans and content creators. The platform allows fans to donate to streamers and it needed a marketplace where people could exchange virtual items. Communities of Content Creators are owned by streaming platforms, but fans actually are attracted to streamers. After that first conversation and a couple of follow-ups, we decided to start working together and build Gaimz.

The First Version of Gaimz

The first version of our matchmaking feature focused on DOTA 2. It was a great integration, but we weren’t there yet. Next, we decided to integrate with Twitch, to make it easier to match streamers and their fans. Progress, but still not enough. So we went ahead and created more interactions between players and content creators. That eventually became the feature Buddies and Events. Donations were just the next step in adding interaction for fans and their content creators. We know with the right features, users would spend more time on our platform, so we decided to add live streams to our pages.

All these features that were added have grown our platform. With this current state, we sought out extra funds from investors or an accelerator program. We are confident of our vision and team, but we weren’t able to cash in on our strengths. Yet. An important lesson we took away from our talks is that we need a “wow” effect to get these people on our side.

As we moved forward, we decided we needed to combine our current features with our master plan. Have people connect their social media accounts to figure out their favorite content creators and use that data to create a feed of content from multiple social platforms, while still giving fans the opportunity to interact with their Content Creators.

Incredible Feedback from the Outside

For this final idea, the redesign with the social feed, we are getting incredible feedback from agencies, streamers and investors. We have taken a lot of steps during the last year with the goal of entering a complex consumer market.

But through it all, our core goal has not, and will not, change at all. It hasn’t changed since our very first talk one year ago. We wanted to have a platform that can make sure fans have more ways to connect with streamers and deeper connection possibilities, while also giving streamers the ownership for their community back. Simply put, Gaimz empowers Content Creators to build, monetize and grow their communities.

I hope this gives you a little bit of insight into why and how we took certain decisions and what direction we want to keep taking this company.

Thank you for supporting Gaimz during these early stages, we look forward to building a platform that makes the worlds we love better for everyone.

And stay safe. Thank you.
